Dublin-born Matthew Rockett is an Irish/UK-based composer, sound designer, producer, and performer. Following undergraduate studies in piano performance and contemporary composition, he completed his Master’s at the Film Scoring Academy of Europe (obtaining first-class honours in both). Matthew has worked on several shorts across all areas of the audio department, most recently on The Girl from Fedamore (director, writer and composer), winner of Best Experimental Film at PIHFF V, Hungary, and Best Original Score in a Short Film at ALTV Movie Awards, USA.

Matthew is fascinated by how image and sound, maximally and minimally, can marry; unlocking new perspectives and innovating storytelling.

He’s engaged in collaborative projects as composer, producer, lyricist and music editor.
